With over 20 years of experience, Claritza Martinez, learned early in her career what the impact a smile and good conversation can have when paired with an impeccable manicure. Inspired and self-taught, Claritza truly “got it from her mama’, a gifted cosmetician, who passed down her artistic talent. Claritza attained her first experiences at Soundview Nails at the age of 14.

From there Claritza’s commitment to the industry grew as she honed her skills thriving as a nail artist in some of New York City and Miami’s top-rated nail salons, cultivating her own personal style and artistry.  The result… Funky Nail Polish, a brand which birthed Lacquer Room Nail Spa and Art Gallery, a thriving hub in the South Bronx that continues to set trends in the industry with its innovation and creative design. Along with her new business venture, Prim’d Beauty Room, a space dedicated to elite artists specializing in all beauty services.

Claritza believes that individualism inspires art, and art inspires a community.  She has established an innovative and creative flair in the nail industry, setting off trends and becoming the sought-after nail pioneer she is today.
